About SGYC

We are a family oriented club with an emphasis on participation and fun for all sailors and family members regardless of skill level or class of boat sailed. Having said that, many of our members sail at a very high level, with State and National champions in the club who are keen to help others.

The main classes of dinghies sailed include Impulse, Laser, Aero and Sabre, plus Taipan and Mosquito catamarans. Sailing begins in November with warm up racing during October after working bees on Sundays. Races are usually 11am and 2pm each Sunday with regattas over every public holiday weekend and Christmas period. We also host the Inverloch Classic Wooden Dinghy Regatta in February for all wooden sailing dinghies, an event that continues to grow in numbers and activities each year.

We have some club boats available for members to sail which allows training and developing young or beginner sailors, until they have their own boat.
